Sue and Peter suggested a visit to the 'Snowdrop Spectacular' at Anglesey Abbey, just east of Cambridge: fortunately the weather was dry and sunny, if a little chilly! The house and its grounds (administered by the National Trust) are superb and we had a thoroughly enjoyable day, with plenty of refreshment breaks including a pit stop at the lovely home of Sue's friends Diane and Terry. Dinner at the Angel Inn, Larling was a perfect way to finish the day!
Although this wasn't a birding expedition, we did see some interesting species, including Goldcrest, Nuthatch, Song Thrush, Sparrowhawk, Coal Tit and Buzzard...
