Maintaining a healthy coral reef system is a delicate and time-consuming process, even with the technology available today (A far cry from when Linda and I started in the hobby 30+ years ago!) Once you achieve a level of stability, this is maintained by regular salt water changes, algae removal, phosphate scrubbing and so on: but it's worth it! Four years down the line our nano system is a constant source of pleasure: something we enjoy looking at every time we walk past!
