On the way back from the North Coast, Brian, Norman and I stopped at Holt Country Park for a walk along the sunny rides leading to the pond. A single large bramble bush was in flower, so we waited patiently until we were eventually rewarded with fleeting views of two White Admirals and half a dozen Silver-washed Fritillaries. Other species included Ringlet, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown and Essex Skipper.
