Despite having seen lots on their travels to Spain, Egypt and other far-flung places, Peter and Sue were keen to have a look at the Black-winged Kite. We arrived a little late - the carparks were nearly full and the heat haze was dreadful - nevertheless we all managed distant views with Peter's scope and with a lot of help from birding chum David. Several groups of Crane circled high in the very bright sky, while three or more Hobbies found plenty of dragonflies to eat: Great White Egrets moved nervously from one pool to another...
