Little Auks & Lapland Buntings at Cley & Salthouse!

A great day out with Martin, although the cold and driving rain made photography difficult: I was on 1600+ ISO even at midday (hence the grainy pictures!)

Nevertheless, I managed a few odds and ends: first stop was Salthouse. A drake Long-tailed Duck was a year-tick for both of us, while close views of a small flock of Snow Buntings was, as ever, a treat...  Dave Holman found a group of five Lapland Buntings and very kindly let us examine a male through his scope. Never close enough for photography, I had a bash anyway! A Herring Gull was sporting a ring that, according to RGM and MG, was put on in North Germany...

A move to Cley for coffee was followed by a stop at 'the Beach Hotel': the waves and wind had picked up, producing a group of five Skuas (Bonxies & Poms) and driving Little Auks, Divers and Gannets close in...
