Linda stayed in to supervise the installation of our new guttering, so Brian and I headed south-east to Boyton, where a pair of Trumpeter Swans have taken up residence. Very distant and in amongst a flock of Mute Swans, we eventually found them! The two best pictures are Brian's!
From there (via a totally 'closed for the Winter' Orford Quay!) we pressed on to Thorpeness, where some painful pioneering through the brambles allowed distant glimpses of 15 Tundra Bean Geese in a mixed flock of Whitefronts, Brents and Barnacles.
Last stop was Dunwich Beach where a pair of Stonechats and a flock of 50+ Snow Buntings played hide and seek on the gravel!
