Resident Little Owl!

Having arranged to meet Norman at the Fen, I took the long route to avoid the school drop-off traffic and was rewarded by terrific views of the Heath's resident Little Owl. It's a very approachable bird, as long as you stay in the car: it sat preening on its favourite branch, occasionally staring down in a manner very reminiscent of my old Latin teacher, Mr Forsey!
