The march of the Polecats!

Some years ago I posted a picture and details of a dead Polecat I'd come across near Salhouse Church on a well-known bird forum (!) The post received virtually unanimous ridicule, on the basis that Polecats had not been recorded further east than Cambridgeshire. Hmmm... I've seen five or six since then, but always where or when I couldn't grab an image.

When I put the attached photos on FB, five people replied with their own pictures, including a live example in a Norwich garden! I think we can assume that these engaging little mustelids are a lot more common these days!
