See an Asteroid with just your binoculars!

Vesta is the second largest Asteroid in the main group that lurks in between Mars and Jupiter: it was the fourth to be discovered in 1807 and one of the few that is ever bright enough to be seen with the naked eye. Last night it was relatively easy to find within the 'body' of Leo, the Lion. Here are a few photos to help you locate it and also an image I took of the Orion Nebula, M42 and the Moon sliding in between Mars and the leading star of Taurus, Aldeberan.
