Linda and I took advantage of today's beautiful - if cool - early morning for a walk through some local deciduous woodland. For once the birds appeared: not just in higher numbers than recently but with good variety of species too! Highlights were Bullfinch, Treecreeper, Marsh Tit, Goldcrest, Song Thrush and our first Chiffchaffs of the year.
