Kingfishers at Strumpshaw Fen - and lots of other nice stuff!

I spent just a couple of hours at the Fen this morning - I had lots to do and rain was threatened. I met Brian T, Norman and neighbour Brian S in Fen Hide, enjoyed the usual badinage and managed decent photos of a pair of Kingfishers (For those who like to know these things: the female is the one with the orange 'lipstick'!)

Other visitors included three Water Deer, a Heron and several Marsh Harriers. Walking back with Brian S, we managed silhouette views of a typically engaging Treecreeper.
Unless anyone knows differently, I maintain that Strumpshaw is the best location in Eastern England for photographing Kingfishers.
