We broke the long, four-hour journey back to Norfolk with a stop at Frampton Marsh, near Boston. Checking with the reserve staff, we were told that all the recently-present 'goodies' had disappeared. Nevertheless, we decided on a walk round, picking up a Whooper Swan, Spoonbill and Corn Bunting before returning to the centre for outrageously-priced snack lunches.
We had time for some independent searching, walking round the flooded grass behind the carpark, by way of the wooded track leading to the farm reservoir. Amazingly, I managed to locate the Lesser Yellowlegs and a Little Gull, salvaging something from the visit!
