Pectoral Sandpiper at Buckenham Marshes

Suddenly it stopped raining, so I couldn't think of a reason not to stop typing and whizz across to Buck for a bash at this pukka Nearctic wader.

Only one birder there, but he'd seen it recently and said all I had to be was patient: well that's my middle name, isn't it?

After five minutes this kind gent relocated it and even let me have a peep in his scope. I managed a few distant shots, but you can see what it is!

Several people then turned up as the sun broke through: I overheard some of them waffling on that I put too many Turtle Dove pictures on the blog: just for them, one more from this morning! LOL!
