East Yorkshire: Part One - Bempton Cliffs

Linda, Brian, Norman and I have just returned from a few days in the East Riding. Although I've visited the area many times, I've never actually found my way to Bempton Cliffs, so this trip was long overdue!

We stayed at a very comfortable B&B in Flamborough, named 'Cameron Court', run by a delightful couple called Gillian and Mark: highly recommended for visiting birders!

This first installment (there will be more, I'm afraid!) is just to give a flavour of Bempton RSPB Reserve and its photogenic inhabitants: Gannets, Razorbills, Puffins, Guillemots, Kittiwakes and, of course, Tree Sparrows. These are everywhere and are incredibly tame! Our first afternoon was spent at Bempton, followed by a quick visit to Flamborough North Landing: pictures later! After a really good-value meal in an excellent pub just up the road from our B&B we said our goodnights and retired.
