Part two: Flamborough Head

Our B&B was just a short distance from Flamborough North Landing, so we took a stroll there on Monday evening, enjoying a cup of tea  in the cliff-top cafĂ© before walking round to Breil Newk and back. Far fewer Gannets, but lots more Kittiwakes, Razors and Guilles: star of the show, though, was the only Shag we saw during the trip. Lots of Skylarks and Meadow Pipits too, but surprisingly few other passerines. Someone had contrived to place an old tyre on top of a stack fifty or so metres from the cliff top: needless to say it was occupied!

On Tuesday evening (just before the rain arrived!) we visited the lighthouse and South Landing. Some pleasant walks at the latter, but just a single Fulmar to show for it!
