Garden tick (Except I didn't see it!)

Linda was away for the day, spending time with her daughter and three grandchildren. This gave me the chance to catch up on lots of fairly tedious garden jobs: cleaning out two pond filters, trimming the edges, mowing lawns etc.

When I'd finished, I checked my e-mails to find that friend and neighbour Peter had sent me a photo he'd taken minutes before of a young Cuckoo on our garden fence: it must have been just a couple of metres from me, since the fence at this point is just behind Linda's hives.
