This morning, starting at 04.45, the Moon moved across the bright star δ (delta) Geminorum. Of course, the Moon occults stars all the time, but today's 'victim' was quite bright: 3rd magnitude. The sky was beautifully clear and I managed a decent sequence of images of this fascinating event before moving on to the Church for my monthly bird survey. Lots of birds of all the regular species and a beautiful dawn, too! (The star is at top left of the Moon!)
