Taking advantage of our new freedom to exercise further afield, I visited one of my favourite spots in the south of the county, enjoying a fabulous five mile walk along frosty riverbanks and woodland clearings. I saw (and photographed) so many terrific creatures that I'm going to split the pictures between two postings.
This, then, is the delightful pair of Otter cubs that fed and played literally within a metre of me as I sat quietly on the riverbank. This is the closest I've ever been to an Otter: I found their complete lack of fear and obvious curiosity really engaging!
