Corncrake: my 100th 'lockdown' species!

Astonishing! My 100th 'lockdown bird' (although I suppose we're more or less able to travel where we want now!) was the rarest of the rare: a Norfolk Corncrake. I heard it calling from dense cover at Thorpe Marshes, Norwich at 5.00am today!

Nice to bump into Stuart White on his local patch: he has a terrific record for finding rare or unusual species at Thorpe. He not only found the Corncrake, he photographed a beautiful Black Kite a week or two back. This shows the rewards available to diligent local patchers.

Lots of other terrific birds today: I'll post those later!
