Back to the Brecks and on to the Fens: two new 'semi-lockdown' ticks!

Linda was keen to use a rare free day to visit the Otters in South Norfolk: this we did! (Although today's individual was a large 'dog' Otter, rather than last week's cubs.) In the slightly blurry photo, it's eating a Signal Crayfish -good riddance! We also caught up with the usuals: Woodlark, Mandarin, Grey Wagtail and so on.

A move to the Fens (Welney) seemed an antidote for a sudden influx of dog walkers / swimmers / rock throwers. This was a good move: although the reserve is closed, we added Great White and Little Egrets, Tree and House Sparrow and - finally - House Martin to the day's haul!
