Last night the Moon appeared close to the two giant planets Jupiter and Saturn. Around 10.00 pm the heavenly threesome were just above the southern horizon, Jupiter hovering just above the waxing gibbous Moon, with Saturn watching on from the east!
Tonight the Moon will be full and further east: still worth a look, though. Meanwhile at dawn it was possible to see three more planets: Mars, Venus and Mercury. Mars is more or less as bright as it ever gets, while Venus is a dazzling object high in the eastern sky.
All this and a chubby little Hedgehog on the feeders most of the night!
