Scarce and Common Emerald Damselflies
I've had a few e-mails asking how you can spot a Scarce Emerald in the field, so I've made some enlarged and labelled images as a guide. The things to look out for are:
1) Half blue / half green colouration of second abdominal segment
2) Curved inner claspers
3) Narrow pterostigmata
