Grasshopper Warbler at Strumpshaw Fen

I had to visit Strumpshaw Tip this morning, so took along my camera on the chance that I might see the 'easy' Gropper along the Sandy Wall at the Fen. As I approached the new ramp down to the meadow, I could see a small gallery: one of these - a really nice bloke from Beccles called Jeremy - advised me that he had seen the bird '.. a minute or two ago.' In the event, it took another hour before I finally glimpsed the little skulker!

Also new for the year was a teneral Scarce Chaser (I think!) while a Muntjac doe and her faun were cute to watch!
