This morning the sky over East Norfolk is beautifully clear and sunny: perfect to experiment with my Coronado solar telescope and various filters on my 500mm zoom.
To be honest, the best results were obtained using Linda's phone and a digiscoping kit with the Coronado, but I reckon this has more to do with my lack of knowledge and experience than anything else! Some terrific solar coronal arches: bear in mind that the Earth could comfortably fit beneath the large one!
All of this sudden activity suggests the possibility of an aurora some time soon - and it wouldn't be a great time to be on board the ISS!
Don't forget: you can click on an image to enlarge it!
