Sunspots!

The Sun is climbing up from its solar minimum period and is beginning to exhibit some sunspots. These are 'cooler' regions of the surface that show up slightly darker. Of course, you absolutely must not look directly at the Sun, with or without optical aids: the sky cleared just before sunset, so I was able to take a couple of photos using a filter on my DSLR. I do have a H-alpha 'Coronado' solar telescope, but the Sun was too low for the tripod! If it's clear tomorrow, I'll have another bash! (I've 'brushed out' a distant telephone wire at the top!)
