Odds and ends at Cley

An early start saw Brian and me in Bishop's Hide by 8.15: to our surprise (and disappointment!) it was nearly full - a camera club, we thought. Not much to see: I pointed out three Little Stints, but no-one seemed that interested!

A move round to the centre hides added just a close Little Egret and a few common waders (Ruff, Redshank, Curlew and Black-tailed Godwits) Nothing was near enough to photograph and a was about to begin, so we retraced our steps and carried on to the East Bank. Again: not much to report apart from a few dinky Reed Buntings, but the beach did give us Gannet, Guillemot and a few Sandwich Terns.

A stroll around Walsey Hills and then Beeston Common added absolutely nothing to the day's tally, but it was great to be out and about with Brian again!
