Last night Peter, Sue, Linda and I attended another lecture at the Cathedral, this time by Michael Benton of Bristol University. The theme of the talk was recent discoveries in dinosaur palaeontology, with particular emphasis on bird evolution, feathering and establishing the colour of ancient species by examination of fossil melanosomes.
The evening (which again began with supper at Zizzi's) was thoroughly enjoyable: Prof. Benton's delivery was amusing, informative and concise: Linda and I will definitely buy his new book when it is released!
