The Moon was a terrific sight last night: hanging between the 'horns' of the constellation Taurus, the 'seeing' was so good that even my 300mm lens revealed all kinds of fabulous details. Notice how prominent the crater Tycho is, even though the Moon's phase makes its famous rays less obvious.
This morning, Venus was incredibly bright: it was easily visible with the naked eye after sunrise.
