Sue, Peter, Linda and I decided to make the most of the last dry day for a while by taking a walk around the Bayfield Hall sculpture trail. We've visited in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the combination of wildlife and open-air art: today was no exception.
Some of the sculptures / installations were a little 'challenging', others were amazing: none, unfortunately, fell within our budgets! I did buy an antique absinthe glass to add to my collection, however!
Coffee at Natural Surroundings was most enjoyable, not the least because the feeders attracted Nuthatches and all the local Tit species.
For lunch we moved northwards to Cley Smokehouse for kippers on toast and a glass of Prosecco: a four mile walk leads east up the hills and back round to Bayfield Lake. This was the first time Linda and I had visited this incredibly beautiful patch of arable land and mature woodland: although we saw very few birds, the glacial geology was fascinating.
After finishing the day with more hot drinks at Natural Surroundings we drove home just as the rain started.
