Finally a warm - hot even - afternoon to grill some tuna on the barbecue, quaff a bottle of ice cold New Zealand Cab Sauv and watch the birds!
In just over an hour Linda and I saw Hobby, Sparrowhawk and Marsh Harrier drift over the garden: earlier one of the local Buzzards put in an appearance. We also had close fly-bys from Migrant Hawker and Black-tailed skimmer, with several Large Skippers and Small Tortoiseshells!
Summer: enjoy it while it's with us!
