A walk around Bystock Pools this afternoon was unexpectedly superb! Despite the attempts by a stallion Dartmoor Pony to drive us off 'his' patch, we managed fabulous views of Small Red Damselfly, Keeled Skimmer, Golden-ringed Dragonfly and Common Hawker. Infuriatingly I still didn't manage a photo of the latter: it charged up and down just inches above the ground, never pausing or alighting for a second!
Later, after lunch, a walk by Exmouth Harbour revealed large numbers of Grey Mullet and Mackerel.
