Memories of Devon...

Just a few photos from our (working) holiday in the West Country. Following a mineral show at Kempton Park, we picked up Mum-in-Law and left Maidenhead at 4.00am, arriving at Woodbury, where my bro'-in-law Barry and his partner Judy live, in time for breakfast.

We stayed at a fabulous B&B at Tipton: the view from our bedroom window was incredible and the garden held flocks of Blackcaps, Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs. We also followed a young Fox up the road to our digs one afternoon, while Badgers visited the garden at night.

Trips out included Prawle Point, Kingsbridge, Hay Tor, Sidmouth, Bicton, Aylesbeare Common and Bystock Pool: as you'll have read earlier, we saw and photographed everything we'd hoped to, with the solitary exception of Raven. Our attendance at the Sidmouth Astro Fair was both fun and financially rewarding, but, after ten years, may well be our last.
