Cambridge: lectures and Startrekking!

Every two years I'm invited to give a Christmas talk at the Cambridge Institute of Astronomy: this I did on Friday night (the subject being nickel iron meteorites and their asteroidal origins)

Today this was followed by a 'pantomime' performance for young astronomers at the same venue, the story being loosely based around the USS Enterprise encountering a 1970s Skylab mission. Every now and then the action stopped for the 'cast' to give a short talk: my subject was the Skye Impact structure.

A thoroughly enjoyable couple of days in my second favourite city!
