Just along the road from us is the old 'Bird in Hand' pub, owned by friends Claire and Terry. Every year they open their beautiful garden to the public, proceeds going to the Church funds. it's an event that is keenly anticipated by our village community: friends Joyce and Andrew even travelled up from Suffolk to attend!
The garden was, as expected, beautiful, as were the scones and glasses of Chris's excellent Pimms! Not unexpectedly, Linda bought several garden ornaments and I bought another cookery book!
Lots of our chums were there: Sue (of course!) Gwendoline & Catherine. What a great little community we live in!
