Happy Honey Bees!

Our garden is more or less devoted to plants that bear bee-friendly flowers: mostly, of course, to encourage Linda's bees to forage locally, rather than visiting the Rape Seed 'fast food joints'!

The best of all seem to be the various members of the thistle family, particularly the White Echinops we have by our little pond: it's covered with bees from dawn to dusk! So if you want to do a little something towards conserving wildlife, grow a couple of these attractive plants: they'll do well in borders or in pots on patios or verandas.
