Salthouse & Cley: Shorelarks, Twite and Dowitcher - still!

Since Brian and Norman were both busy this week, I took advantage of the fine early morning to add three new birds to the year list. Two of these were at the first stop, at the end of the Iron Road at Salthouse. A bit of a trek and some stealthy stalking produced distant views of two Twite and three Shorelarks: only the latter stayed long enough to be photographed. Also at Salthouse was the Long-billed Dowitcher, which I caught up with again by the Serpentine at Cley. Also among the Dunlins and Godwits was a cute Little Stint, while a short seawatch added Red-throated Diver and a distant Black Guillemot. which was kindly pointed out to me by a chatty lady birder. Chris, a nice guy from Peterborough, was so intrigued to discover that it is possible to make a living selling meteorites that I offered to send him one for his son!
