No matter how often I see a conjunction of the Moon and one of the brighter planets, I never fail to be impressed. Last night (as we were walking back from a delightful supper with friends Sue and Peter) Linda and I stopped to admire the sight of the Moon and Jupiter separated by just a few degrees. The next, similar event will occur on January 3rd, when the Moon will appear even closer to Mars.
