The sudden cold snap has brought birds to the garden in droves: Starlings, House Sparrows, Blackbirds, Wood Pigeons and Collared Doves, of course. More unusually, though, we've had Magpies, Pied Wagtails and a Sparrowhawk off and on all day. Now and again marauding flocks of Redwings descend onto the Sycamore before dropping down to feed on the Cotoneaster. Let's hope some Waxwings find the berries before they're all gone!
