First corals in the new tank

It's been a few weeks since we set up the new little reef tank and finally the water parameters (NH4, NO2, NO3 and pH) are optimal. This means we can gradually add corals to the reef! We aren't intending keeping fish, so we are being selective - and patient - so that hopefully the end result is stable and natural-looking. Our first two additions have been these colonial hydrozoans which, with luck, will spread to cover the rock, giving it interest both day and night: these organisms fluoresce in actinic light!
