We decided to carry on to Horsey (by way of some birdseed purchasing at Latham's!) A ten minute 'grill' was not particularly productive - although a hunting Kestrel was fun to watch - until a Great White Egret flew up from the side of the road!

Scaup at Barton and a bonus Great White Egret at Horsey!
Linda and I took a drive out to Neatishead, from where we walked out to the boardwalk viewpoint over Barton Broad. Despite this excellent facility having been open since 2003, I've never visited before: it is absolutely fantastic! As well as the reported three Scaup, we also enjoyed Kingfisher, Buzzard, numerous G C Grebes, Goldeneye and a bonus Bittern: the walk out through the carr added Redpoll and Siskin to the day's haul!
