Beautiful Moon!

There's a gorgeous waning Moon tonight: lots of interesting features can be picked out with binoculars. The bright rays emanating from Tycho (centre bottom) and Copernicus (centre left) are made up of ejecta from the massive impacts that formed the craters. On the magnified section, The large double crater at the top is Endymion, while the chain of four above the Mare Crisium (going upwards) are Cleomedes, Burckhardt, Geminus and Messala. The extremely bright crater centre left is Aristarchus - the brightest object on the Moon's surface.
