Since I had to drop off an old mattress at Strumpshaw Recycling Centre, I thought I'd carry on to Cantley for a long-overdue look at the Peregrines at the sugar factory. Amazingly the single bird I picked out perched high on a chimney was actually a year tick: I hadn't visited since last Autumn!
After a good 'fill up' I returned by way of Buckenham, where a walk along to the mill delivered the expected birds - Reed and Sedge Warblers, Reed Bunting, lots of Redshank and a few Little Egrets - but no passage waders and no Garganey.
