Reports of a Caspian Tern ast Hickling / Potter this morning sent me off at 7.30 to Hickling NWT Reserve. After a brisk walk to the viewing platform I met well-known Yarmouth birder Barry Jarvis: he informed me that the tern hadn't arrived, but that three Temminck's were fairly close out on the marsh. After a short wait I was pleased to grab a few long-range photos, as well as adding Garganey and Greenshank to the year list. Great White Egret, Crane and three or four Spoonbill were also loafing around the reserve...
