Red-legged Partidges used to be daily visitors to our little garden: in the past we've had coveys of up to seven and even newly-hatched chicks. For some reason, however, there's been a two-year interval until this morning, when a pair landed on the roof before dropping down out of sight to feed . Welcome back!
