Since we were both up and dressed by seven, Linda and I thought we'd have a bash at last night's Ibises at Hickling. Needless to say, on present form, they'd departed overnight: to Cley it transpired!
Still: we had the reserve to ourselves and enjoyed lots of Cranes, Whimbrel, Godwits, Ruff and a Great White Egret, as well as the expected woodland and reedbed birds. Lots of deer too: both Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer.
Finally, from the main hide, we had our best views ever of the long-staying hybrid Hooded Crow: a very handsome bird!
