Glossy Ibises at Potter Heigham

Having missed this pair twice - at Hickling and Cley - the chance to catch up with them this morning was unmissable. Leaving home at 8.15, I parked by the A149 at Potter Heigham and trudged down the concrete track towards the scrapes. Ahead of me was ace birder Graham Etherington, who had already located the Glossies through the high reed-fringe. I grabbed a few dodgy record shots (last one below!) before the birds obligingly took off for a circuit of the pool, landing on a slghtly nearer and less obscured piece of bank. And so home for breakfast!
