The first of two passes by the International Space Station tonight took place at around 18.50, with decent clear skies and Orion above the south-eastern horizon. The next pass is at 19.26 and, although it won't be as bright, the skies will be darker: well worth a look. (Also, you could have a glance at Orion's 'sword' with your spotting scope: you can easily make out the gaseous nebulae)
