Raptor action at Roughton

Whilst waiting for the Rose-coloured Starling to (not) turn up at Roughton yesterday, I was entertained by some interesting activity by the local birds of prey. This male Kestrel must qualify for 'Father of the Year': three times in an hour he returned to what was presumably his nest tree with voles. Other raptors seen included a Sparrowhawk carrying a starling (but not the starling!) and a well-marked pair of Buzzards.
