Snowed under with orders at the moment: nice that meteorites seem to be the cadeau du jour this Christmas!
There's always something to see from the office window, however: today it was a gentle little pair of Stock Doves just about holding their own against the attentions of the Collared Doves and Wood Pigeons. Overhead several skeins of Pink-footed Geese headed north-west: sadly there were no Red-breasted among them. I wonder where they went?
Lots of common finches: Goldfinch. Greenfinch and Chaffinch predominated, with all the expected winter thrushes over the garden in small groups, as well as the local Buzzard being mobbed by the ubiquitous Rooks.
All it would've taken was the news that the Cattle Egret at Sea Palling (Tim A?) had been pinned down and I'd've been gone!
(Update! Just come online that the CE is showing well: hope it sticks around!)
