Brian and I were both a little busy, so we could only spend ninety minutes at the Fen: nevertheless, there were some lovely birds to enjoy (including a high-flying Jack Snipe) as well as a fast-moving Otter in front of Fen Hide.

Muddy morning at Strumpshaw Fen
Actually, first birds of note today were several skeins of Pink-footed Geese flying over the Close: here they're passing our friends Sue and Peter's aerial!
Brian and I were both a little busy, so we could only spend ninety minutes at the Fen: nevertheless, there were some lovely birds to enjoy (including a high-flying Jack Snipe) as well as a fast-moving Otter in front of Fen Hide.
